Week 10 Part A: Researching Email Marketing

I think that newsletters from my business should be sent monthly. That way customers are receiving newsletters enough to still be in the loop, but not frequently enough to become a nuisance to them. Each month there will be a newsletter that is sent out that contains information about upcoming events, new beer releases, and a “get to know us” section. Upcoming events will be useful to customers because they will be able to see what events we are going to be holding for the whole month. Customers will be able to plan their schedules accordingly to make sure not to miss any special events. New beer releases will make it easy for customers to get their hands on all the latest beers. This will prevent customers from missing out on a chance to try a beer they have been waiting for. Our “get to know us” section will contain a different Alibi Brewing Company employee per month and tell our customers a little bit about themselves. This will help us create a bond with our customers and make them feel like they are a part of the team.

  1. I really like how you would do a monthly get to know us for each employee. That's unique instead of "getting to know us as a company" get to know us individually.

  2. Good Idea with the "get to know us" section, since people like to feel like they are part of the community they consume from.

  3. Anthony,
I think you have the right idea with a once a month newsletter. Too many emails just become noise. I really like the section of upcoming events. I think this is especially important as we have moved into the Orange Tier and in a couple of months there will be no tiers at all.
People are so excited to out again and with the summer coming your business will be competing with a ton of other activities. So you'll want to get on your customer's schedules as soon as you can.
Good luck with your business and the rest of class.

  4. For a brewery, I feel, a monthly newsletter would be good. Beers coming, beers on tap, events and so on would probably provide you with alot of content. In my line of work things don't change that much. For me, I would go with a quarterly letter.

  5. I like your idea of get to know us section, featuring an employee every month. That no doubt it will create a bond with your customers who will look forward to coming back to your company.

  6. A weekly newsletter timed right before the weekend would be a great way to remind your market to visit your brewery that evening. It could be warm and inviting and highlight your newest offerings. I honestly don't think weekly is too often for your loyal following.
