Week 13 Part B: Developing Online Advertising

Image
The ads that I created would be effective because they would influence customers to visit my page to stay up to date on special events and promotions. I am advertising a clear idea of what my business is about and what types of products and services I offer. I am targeting the customers who are more likely going to be interested in craft beer, dogs, and food. What better way than to bring all three things to the same place. An objective is what you want people to do when they see your ad.  Three types of ads that would be beneficial to my business would be to promote my business locally, get more leads, and boost a post.  The primary ad objective that I want to achieve with promoting my business locally is increasing the awareness of my local business to residents in San Diego.  The primary ad objective that I want to achieve with getting more leads is to expand my customer base by getting more customer contacts and finding new customers.  The primary ad objective that I want to achi

Week 13 Part A: Online Advertising

An advertisement must catch my attention within a matter of seconds. Choosing the right image, that both draws attention to your ad and fully conveys the story of your product, is as important as the words that accompany it. When the ad tells me to do something, whether it claims a discount on the product, participate in a free trial or visit a retailer to purchase it for a limited time, it draws my attention that much more. An ad that came across my Instagram feed was an advertisement for pre-workout. The imagery that the advertisement used was effective because it showed a muscular man holding the product. When people buy these types of products, they think that they will make them look like the people in the ads. Which is not the case whatsoever. Annoying advertisements are the ones that offer you something but in return, you must sign up with a credit card. They claim that it is free but still make you sign up with your email and credit card number. I would say ads on social media

Week 12 Part B: Business Specific Tools

After doing research on Yelp and MeetUp Groups, I found out the following: Yelp:   I do not have a Yelp account set up for my business, but I do use Yelp frequently. Whether I am looking for local restaurants, hotels, or parks. Earning positive Yelp reviews for your local business is a great way to show potential customers that previous visitors liked their experience at your restaurant or storefront. Local businesses are most affected by the star system, while places like chain restaurants are not. When thinking about how Yelp works for business owners, you have to consider both the positive and negative impacts of the platform. Whether you receive a positive or negative review it is important to always respond to your customer. E very review that remains unanswered is a lost opportunity to retain existing customers and attract new prospects. MeetUp:   I do have a   MeetUp account, but it is for personal use. In the past, I have used the MeetUp app to find local French Bulldog owners.

Week 12 Part A: Business Specific Online Tools

Additional online marketing tools that I believe would be important for the growth of The Alibi Brewing Company are Hubspot and Followerwonk. Hubspot   is an inbound marketing and sales software that helps companies attract visitors, convert leads, and close customers. HubSpot has an extensive number of tools and the capability to make a difference in every part of the buyer’s journey. The tools are divided up into “Hubs” and when they’re combined, they work together to give you a full suite of tools across your marketing, sales, and support teams. I could integrate Hubspot into my current strategy by helping me keep everything in one place and not having to worry about pulling myself in many different directions. Followerwonk is a Twitter analytics tool that allows users to gather and analyze information on Twitter users, determine trends in the mentioned social networking tool, and expand their reach to widen their audience, increase their follower base, and forward their business g

Week 11 Part A: Using Twitter, LinkedIn or Social Influencers

There are many different social media platforms nowadays that can help your business grow and succeed. Each platform comes with different benefits, whether it be Twitter, LinkedIn, or Social Influencers you will find that social media can make or break your business. It is important to find the platform that is most beneficial for you and your business. Not all social media platforms work for every business and that is okay.   When it comes to Twitter, I have only ever used it for personal use. I have had my Twitter account since 2013, so about 8 years now. It never crossed my mind how much of an impact Twitter could make for a business. After further research, I learned that by tweeting consistently about relevant topics, you can really get to know your customers and create a stronger relationship with them. Twitter is a great way to get tips, ideas, and information from your customers easily. It can give your customers a platform to voice concerns or appreciation and can ultimately o

Week 10 Part A: Researching Email Marketing

I think that newsletters from my business should be sent monthly. That way customers are receiving newsletters enough to still be in the loop, but not frequently enough to become a nuisance to them. Each month there will be a newsletter that is sent out that contains information about upcoming events, new beer releases, and a “get to know us” section. Upcoming events will be useful to customers because they will be able to see what events we are going to be holding for the whole month. Customers will be able to plan their schedules accordingly to make sure not to miss any special events. New beer releases will make it easy for customers to get their hands on all the latest beers. This will prevent customers from missing out on a chance to try a beer they have been waiting for. Our “get to know us” section will contain a different Alibi Brewing Company employee per month and tell our customers a little bit about themselves. This will help us create a bond with our customers and make the

Week 9 Part B: Using Categories

Image
The types of categories I would use on my blog would consist of different beer styles, taste testing, and upcoming beer releases. I think that these categories would help me best in catching the attention of my audience. These categories would help my business grow by informing my target audience of the many different styles of beer while also informing them on educational taste testing. The category that I think would be the most beneficial to my business would be upcoming beer releases. This will ultimately bring in the most business by informing my consumers when a new beer will be released and how they can get their hands on it. Week 9 Part A: Blogs, Vlogs, Podcasts, and Webinars

Adding a personal touch to a blog for a business is a great way to increase human connection with your customers. When it comes to a blog being personal, there has to be some personality involved in the posts to create a connection with the reader. Especially, if the person writing the blog is the face of the brand. The person writing the blog, for themselves or for another company, must take into consideration the amount of personal interest they wish to involve in the post. Although it may work for some businesses, it isn't the right call for every business out there. Some businesses don't have distinct personalities within the business to maintain a uniform front, so it wouldn't make sense to share personal details and stories. For my business, I believe that adding a personal touch would help positively with my target audience. Beer brings people together, whether it makes you happier, friendlier, or less inhibited. Beer plays a key role in social bonding. With everythi
