  • Belching Beaver is active across all of its social media platforms. They reply to all consumer's comments and share posts frequently.
From my overall research, I discovered that all five businesses stay up to date when it comes to social media. They are posting a minimum of once a day on each social media platform. The posts consist of pictures, promotions, and tagged locations. They do a good job at mixing things up and making sure that they are always posting something new.

I discovered that each business mainly uses the same social media platforms, being Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and sometimes YouTube. Out of the social media platforms, businesses had the most followers on Instagram. I found that Instagram is the most effective way of promoting for businesses because Instagram is mainly used to post pictures. Societe Brewing Co. does a good job at posting new content on the daily with creative captions that lure consumers in.

All of the businesses listed above do a good job when it comes to interacting and communicating directly with their consumers. They are actively replying to comments that are left on their posts, whether it be negative or positive comments. All of the businesses responded to their consumers but Second Chance Beer Co. had the most sincere responses. Second Chance is one of the smaller breweries out of the five, so I feel like they are really trying to build up their followers in every way possible.

In today's society, social media plays a huge impact on businesses and can really make or break them. With so many people interacting over social media you need to make sure that your business is easily accessible and on as many platforms as possible. There is a lot of competition so you need to make sure to find a way to distinguish your business from others.

Comments

  1. Why do I feel like I need to sit down with my feet up and have a beer? What a fun subject to research! Do you know Professor Faulk also runs a craft beer company?

I enjoyed looking at all of these companies and their presence on social media. I agree wholeheartedly in you last statement: "There is a lot of competition so you need to make sure to find a way to distinguish your business from others." I found that in the market that I researched as well. I hope that I learn more on that subject when we get into branding.

  2. One of the brands that I researched is also a brewery, Boochcraft. They do hard kombucha and have a really creative take on their branding. I love Belching Beaver and was happy to see it on your list. I think the social platforms they all stick to definitely fit what they are going after and who they are trying to appeal to.
